Sandia Peak opens the Scrapyard Terrain Park on Saturday January 27th. The Scrapyard will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00am to 3:30pm. The Scrapyard offers beginner to intermediate funboxes, rails, and jumps. In order to ride the Scrapyard you must purchase a valid lift ticket for the day. Please read and obey all park rules that are posted at the bottom of the mountain and at the top of the park.

School:

Snow Sports School at the far end of the boardwalk has PSIA Certified Instructors for full and half day lessons for skiing and snowboarding. Lessons begin at 10am and 1pm daily. Tickets may be purchased at the snow sports school window.

Store:

The Wintermill Sports Shop located on the upper level has a variety of logo merchandise as well as those items you may have forgotten including, gloves, goggles, hats, mittens, sun glasses and sun screen.

Rental Shop is north of the main building along the boardwalk offering ski, snowboard and snowblade rentals.

Experience some of the longest cruising terrain available in New Mexico. Sandia Peak Ski Area offers 30 trails serviced by four chairlifts, a surface lift and a children's mitey mite.

The Ski Area is only 45 minute drive from the Albuquerque Metro area and fully equipped for a fun day on the slopes. Here you find Sandia Peak's certified ski school, a complete rental shop, skiers' cafe, and the Wintermill Ski Shop.

Location & Directions

To the Ski area:

From Albuquerque, I-40 East to the Cedar Crest Exit 175, North on NM HWY 14 to the Crest Scenic Byway 536, then 6 miles to ski area!

To the Tram:

FROM I-40
Exit 167: Tramway Blvd., take Tramway Blvd. North approximately 9 miles to the Sandia Peak Tramway.

FROM I-25
EXIT 234: EXIT 234 Tramway Road. Follow Tramway Road, East to the Sandia Peak Tramway.
